About the Artist:
Members of Electric Side Dish have penned over 100 original songs integrating Rock, Blues, Funk, Soul, Jazz, World and Country into their sound. They rotate covers throughout their setlists from artists such as The Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones. Axemen John Tipton and Phil Dudden provide a double helix of snake-like guitar lines with hook-like melodies and memorable lyrics. The rock steady rhythms of drummer Mike Goletz and percussionist John Bunting, along with the funked up stylings of bassman Fleeb can motivate even the heaviest of couch potatoes to roll around the dance floor.

The Westword, Denver’s biggest entertainment guide, nominated Electric Side Dish for the best “Jam/Improv” band in 2006. ESD has airplay and has performed live on the radio, most recently on KGNU’s “Rock the Nation” and KRFC’s “Live at Lunch.” In addition, Electric Side Dish has received press coverage in variety of publications such as The Colorado Music Buzz , The Marquee Magazine and The Summit Daily News. Most recently, ESD was featured in The Westword for the release of their new album Forward.

Whether performing as a three piece acoustic or a five piece electric act, their music generates a sonic buzz taking original music to the next level. Electric Side Dish has played in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico. They have performed at The Bluebird Theater, The Oriental Theater, Cervante’s Masterpiece Ballroom, The People’s Fair, The Maydaze Music Festival and the Westword Music Showcase. This is a sample of ESD’s 2006 activities. Electric Side Dish has opened for Big Brother and the Holding Company, The New Riders of the Purple Sage and has played with artists such as Bill McKay, David Schools, Polytoxic and Damon Wood. With a new album, 2007 is already looking to be an extremely busy year for Electric Side Dish.
